Team JessopWe are delighted to be supporting Ulric and Ruth Jessop. One of only two UK team entries, competing in arguably paraglidings' toughest cross country challenge. The Red Bull X-Alps, a paragliding/walking race from one end of the Alps to the other. The race starts at Krippenstein in Eastern Austria, passes via Marmolada in the Dolomites, the Eiger and Mont Blanc, before finishing in Monaco, a total distance of 850 km .As the only mode of transport allowed for the athlete is either paragliding or walking, this is a major undertaking, for which Ulric and Ruth have been training for months shedding many kg in the process. We see this as a very interesting team event as the athlete, regardless of how competent they are as a pilot cannot do this alone. Their supporter is very much a part of making a winning formula. Team Jessop is an interesting one as they are a husband and wife team. They both know how the other operates there are no egos and they see it very much as a team effort. We will be watching their progress on the web with much excitement and we are sure that their story will be an insightful one with regard to how teams perform when up against the toughest challenges. We would like to wish them the best of luck. For more up to date information visit www.pottyplace.com/xalps Congratulations to Team Jessop on their well earned 8th place overall |
